Jim Iyke, also known as James Ikechukwu Esomugha, is a Nollywood (Nigerian Film Industry) actor with a $30 million fortune. He was born in Gabon in September 1976. (Libreville). He has been in a huge number of films and is a very well-known Nollywood actor. With seven sisters, Jim Iyke is the only son of his parents.

He was born on September 25, 1976 in Libreville, Gabon, to Mr. and Mrs. Stephen Okolue, who later changed their names to Esomugha upon moving to Ogwugwu Village in Enugu Agidi town of Anambra State, Nigeria.

Jim Iyke Early Life and Education

Jim Iyke was born in Libreville, Gabon, Africa, on September 25, 1976.

Stephen Okolue, whose last name was changed to Esomugha, and Ngozi Gladys Okelue Esomugha are his parents. He is from Ogwugwu Village in the Nigerian town of Enugu Agidi in the Anambra State.

Eight children make up Jim Iyke's family, and he is the lone boy. Natasha Esomugha is his sister.

From 1985 to 1991, he attended F. G. C. Kwali Abuja for his secondary education.

Jim Iyke completed his studies at the University of Jos in Plateau State, where he also earned a BSc in philosophy after receiving a diploma in banking and finance.

Jim moved to Lagos after receiving his degree and there he started working as a product model. His eagerness and drive to achieve drove him to enter the then-rapidly-expanding Nigerian film business, also known as Nollywood. His entry into Nollywood marked the start of a quest to earn and win the hearts of movie fans throughout Africa and beyond.

Jim eventually rose to popularity among fans as Nollywood flourished, particularly for his portrayals of a number of notorious characters that he was able to embody and interpret with ease, earning him the moniker "Nollywood Bad Boy." Since then, he has appeared in more than 150 films. Most recently, he founded the film production company "Untamed Productions" and worked in London to produce two movies with Judy Shekoni and Tangerine Martins, two well-known international actors. He has also recently produced "2 Dollaz," the follow-up to the most financially successful Nollywood comedy film to date, "1 Dollar." He served as producer and executive producer on the film "Shades of White," which has not yet been released but is receiving positive reviews.

Jim is a well-known fashion icon and one of the best-dressed African celebrities outside of Nollywood. Millions of followers across the continent and even more in the Diaspora have fallen in love with him thanks to his avant-garde and outlandish sense of style and uniqueness. He is a pioneer in the campaign for better education and wellbeing for the less fortunate children in Africa and the founder of a nonprofit organization called the Jim Iyke Foundation.

The foundation, which is widely regarded as the most prosperous independently-run celebrity foundation in Nigeria, continuously organizes walks, symposia, musical/comedy acts, and forums to draw attention to the health and well-being of African children around the world. These performances and advertisements took place in Ghana, Liberia, Abuja, Port Harcourt, and Lagos, among other places. The Foundation recently organized a 6000-child walk in Abuja against child poverty and illiteracy in Nigeria in collaboration with Pepsi, Nikon Hilton Hotel, and Indomi Noodles.

He made his musical debut in 2009 with the launch of his own record label, Untamed Records, and the release of his album, Who Am I, which featured numerous A-list musicians, including Sound Sultan and 2Face Idibia. A sizable portion of the album's sales were donated to various orphanages. His commercial interests include oil and gas transportation, an exclusive car dealership called Untamed Cars, real estate investments, event management, and several brand endorsement agreements with Globalcom, a well-known telecommunications company.

In Houston, Texas, on October 21, 2015, Jim presided over the Golden Icons African Movies Awards ceremony as news of the one-year reality television series Jim Iyke Unscripted, co-sponsored by Africa Magic and Oh Africa TV, was announced.

A contentious video showing Jim's alleged "deliverance" at The Synagogue, Church Of All Nations, led by Pastor T.B. Joshua, went viral in September 2013 and sparked a heated discussion on social media. Iyke's inability to find a spouse was allegedly the result of a confession made by the "evil spirit." Later, he continued by saying that TB Joshua had taken advantage of him.

Jim, a black belt in karate with a preference for close combat, believes in the art of self defense. He is referred to as "Nollywood's bad boy" and has supposedly dated Ghanian actress Nadia Buari and Nigerian actress Rita Dominic.
