Lasisi Elenu Biography

On April 20, 1991, Nosa Adeyemi Afolabi, later known as Lasisi elenu, was born in Kano State, Nigeria. Lasisi's ancestors, however, were originally from Kwara State. In 2022, he will be 31 years old.

After completing his primary and secondary education, he continued his education, earning a degree in agriculture and bio systems engineering from the University of Ilorin.

On April 20, 1991, Nosa Afolabi, also known by his stage as Lasisi Elenu, was born in Offa, Kwara State, Nigeria.

Lasisi Elenu completed the health promotion and environmental health education program at the University of Ilorin.

Lasisi Elenu Career

Under the nickname "Nature," Lasisi performed as an MC and a full-time musician prior to commencing his Instagram rants, but neither of those endeavors panned out for him because he struggled at both. He had always enjoyed ranting, but not in an angry way; rather, he did it to make others laugh. When he was younger, he regularly criticized and made fun of his sister.

His comedy career started when he would occasionally publish rant videos on his Whatsapp story for his friends. His pals had mixed reactions to the videos; some found them amusing and kept pleading for more, while others didn't like them and complained to him about it. He started publishing his tirade videos on Whatsapp and a new Instagram account he made in August 2017 under the name Lasisi Elenu.

His most watched video was a pothole rant where he lamented how rich Lagos drivers ignore potholes. His opening line, "Hello Everyone Laisi (Lasisi) is back again, Something Just Happened Right Now," quickly became a catchphrase on the internet. He gained 10,000 Instagram followers in two days after the video went viral.

Lasisi made a deliberate effort to maintain his anonymity online with the use of the Snapchat filter that altered his voice and appearance. His anonymity, however, was short-lived when Nigerian blogger Tunde Ednut accidentally grabbed his face during an unguarded moment of his rant video, revealing his name. People were curious to see the genuine face of the man who had been making them smile, so a snapshot from the video quickly became popular online. On January 1st, 2018, Lasisi was forced to publicly reveal his face to his supporters, contrary to his earlier plans to do so. He gave two reasons for this.
