INEC Chairman give reasons why election will not hold in 240 polling units 

The Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) has announced that elections will not be held in 240 polling units as nobody chose to vote in those areas. The INEC Chairman, Prof. Mahmood Yakubu, made this known during a meeting with political party leaders on February 13, 2023. The meeting was aimed at bringing the political parties up to speed with the preparations for the elections and to remind them of their obligations.

With 18 political parties participating in the upcoming elections, some of their chairmen and other members of their National Working Committee (NWC) were in attendance.
