Man kick out his wife who's from Ekiti state from his house [watch video]
A recent incident in Ekiti State has brought to light the disturbing reality of how political differences can escalate into domestic violence. It was reported that a man, unhappy with the outcome of the presidential election, kicked his wife out of their home. The reason? She hails from the state where the All Progressives Congress candidate, Bola Ahmed Tinubu, emerged victorious.
According to the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) Presiding Officer, Akeem Lasisi, Tinubu had defeated his opponents, Atiku and Peter Obi, in the state. However, instead of celebrating the victory in a peaceful manner, the husband chose to take out his frustration on his innocent wife.
The incident reportedly occurred after the husband playfully asked his wife where she was from. Upon learning that she was from Ekiti State, he became even more agitated and ordered her to leave their home. The distraught woman pleaded with him, insisting that she was not involved in the political process. However, her pleas fell on deaf ears as the man remained convinced that she was a part of the opposition.
As the wife stood by the doorway, the man fetched her bag from the room and handed it to her, demanding that she leave. The woman continued to protest her innocence, stating that her mother was from Ondo State, but her husband refused to listen and slammed the door in her face.
“So, you are from Ekiti state? The APC-PDP people? I don’t know I have been living with someone from Ekiti state,” he probed.
