As the deadline for the use of old Naira notes elapsed on February 10, many shopkeepers ceased to accept them as legal tender. However, a Nigerian woman has defied the trend and proudly showed off her shop, where she still accepts the old notes. In a video that has since gone viral, the lady can be seen singing with joy as she reveals that she has been making plenty of sales.

According to the shopkeeper, her decision to continue accepting the old Naira notes has attracted many customers to her shop, resulting in increased sales. The video shows her shop counter with numerous gaps, indicating a high volume of transactions during the Naira swap crisis.

The video has elicited mixed reactions among Nigerians on TikTok, with some expressing doubts about her claims, while others asked for her location and the bank she intends to deposit the money. Nonetheless, the woman's resilience in the face of the currency swap deadline has drawn admiration from many.
