South African rapper Kiernan Jarryd Forbes, popularly known as AKA, was tragically shot and killed in a drive-by shooting outside Wish Restaurant on Florida Road, Durban on Friday night. CCTV footage captured the rapper stepping out of the restaurant with friends before being targeted by the suspects, who fired multiple shots at close range. The attack also claimed the life of AKA's close friend, chef and entrepreneur Tebello 'Tibz' Motsoane, as they were on their way to perform at a nightclub for AKA's birthday celebration. The motive for the shooting is under investigation.
