Actor IK Ogbonna breaks silence as he reveals what causes the divorce with his ex - wife

Ikechukwu Mitchel Ogbonna, the popular Nollywood actor, has finally broken his silence on the topic of his divorce from his ex-wife, Sonia. The couple, who tied the knot at a courthouse in Zagreb, Croatia, in 2015 and share a son together, have been surrounded by rumors of their split since 2018. However, Sonia confirmed their separation in August 2019.

In a recent interview with Punch, IK Ogbonna opened up about his decision to keep quiet on the reason for his divorce, stating that he firmly believes his private life should not be anyone's concern.

The actor's calm and collected response to the situation reflects his desire to maintain a sense of dignity and privacy in his personal life, even as a public figure. In an age where social media often blurs the lines between personal and professional lives, Ogbonna's approach is refreshing and commendable.

 

“I have never said the cause of my separation, it has been all speculation and I would like the public to hold on to those speculations if they choose to do so.

“My private life doesn’t necessarily concern the world but, what I choose the world to know is what I make the public to know about me. Things don’t work out don’t mean I and the person would fall apart, or I come on social media and start saying these are the reasons why it did not work. It didn’t work but we are still friends.” He said.
