Toyin Abraham, a well-known actress and producer in the Nigerian movie industry, has expressed her dissatisfaction with the bullying and trolling she received from netizens over her choice of political candidate.

It is no secret that Toyin Abraham threw her support behind Bola Tinubu, the APC presidential candidate, before and after the elections. However, this did not sit well with some social media users who launched a campaign of online harassment against her.

During a recent Twitter space organized by social media influencer Ogbeni Dipo, Toyin Abraham opened up about why she would never support Peter Obi and his political party. She revealed that some of Obi's supporters attempted to sabotage her career and livelihood by petitioning Netflix to remove her movies from their platforms.

Furthermore, Toyin shared screenshots of some of the messages she received from Obi's supporters, in which they threatened to boycott a brand she was endorsing, Checkers Custard, unless the company removed her as a brand ambassador.

It is unfortunate that in this day and age, people still resort to such malicious tactics to silence those who hold different political beliefs. Toyin Abraham's experience serves as a reminder of the need for tolerance and respect for differing opinions in our society.

ibk__126 You are free to support whoever you want but why people are so concerned is because at the end of the day the person won’t just be your president but president to all of us.
