Igbo Lady cries out as parents cancel her marriage plans with Yoruba fiancé

In the aftermath of the recent electoral violence in Lagos state, a man has shared a heart-wrenching story about how the conflict is affecting intertribal relationships. According to the narrator, a friend who is an Igbo girl had her marriage plans called off by her parents due to the political unrest.

 The man she was set to marry, who is from a different tribe, was barred from attending the introductory ceremony, causing the heartbroken lady to cry as if someone close to her had died in a fatal accident. 

The sad tale is a reminder of the far-reaching consequences of election-related violence and the need for peaceful and harmonious coexistence regardless of ethnic differences.

He wrote; “This Lagos violence is something o, an igbo girl was crying on phone that her parents are saying they don’t want to see the Yoruba guy that was supose to come visiting, for the traditional knocking ceremony.
