Joke Muyiwa was born into a Muslim family to Mr. and Mrs. Ademuyiwa. Her father was an Ifa priest and a herbalist, while her mother was a devout Muslim. She attended Sacred Heart Convent School Oke Ayo, Ring Road, Ibadan for her primary education and later proceeded to Baptist Grammar School, Idi Ishin, Ibadan for secondary education. She obtained a Bachelor of Arts (B.A Hons) degree in Dramatic Arts from Obafemi Awolowo University and a Master’s Degree in Theatre Arts from the University of Ibadan.
