Junior secondary school girl sent home for having Peter Obi sticker on her bag in Lagos state

A young student at Odomola Junior Secondary School in Epe, Lagos State has been sent home for carrying a bag displaying the image of the Labour Party's presidential candidate, Peter Obi. The JSS2 student, named Barinada Marvelous, was given an exit form by the school administration for allegedly violating the guidelines issued by the Lagos State government to schools in the state.

A source from the school, who requested anonymity, shared a photo of the exit form and confirmed that Marvelous was instructed by the principal to leave the school premises and campaign for Obi elsewhere, as it was "against the wish of Lagosians."

The source said; “Can you imagine one of our members daughter was sent out of school because she has Peter Obi sticker on her bag and an exit form was given to her in Epe”

The incident has sparked mixed reactions from members of the public. Some are calling for sanctions against the school administrator, while others believe that it is inappropriate for students to display political stickers while in school.
