King Westt, the son of MC Oluomo, the Head of the Lagos state branch of the National Union of Road Transport Workers (NURTW), took to social media to boast about Bola Tinubu's emergence as the President-elect of Nigeria. Tinubu, a former governor of Lagos-State, won the 2023 presidential elections, according to the results announced by the Chairman of the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC), Mahmood Yakubu. Tinubu garnered 8,794,726 votes, defeating his closest rivals, Atiku Abubakar of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP), who scored 6,984,520 votes, and Peter Obi of the Labour Party (LP), who scored 6,101,533 votes.
In his Insta-stories on his verified Instagram page, King Westt reacted to Tinubu's victory by congratulating the All Progressives Congress (APC) and claiming that the party is the owner of Lagos and Nigeria. He also noted that politics is not for the faint-hearted.
Furthermore, King Westt went on to brag that the Labour Party's presidential candidate, Tinubu, is nothing but a boy, and that he is even smarter than him. It is evident that King Westt is proud of his father's political achievements and the APC's victory in the presidential elections.
The NURTW is a prominent transport union in Nigeria, and MC Oluomo is a well-known figure in the Lagos political landscape. His son's remarks on social media demonstrate the family's political influence and their close ties to the ruling APC. As the son of a prominent political figure, King Westt's statements may generate controversy and criticism from opposition supporters.
