Rapper CDQ slams Asake for using the same pattern as he set to release new song [Video]

Nigerian hip-hop sensation, CDQ, took to his social media platform to express his displeasure with fellow artist Asake over the sound used in his upcoming single release. Asake recently shared a snippet of the song on his official Instagram handle, which caused quite a stir among his fans and followers.

Asake, who won the Break-out Artiste of the Year award in 2022, had earlier in the year released his hit single "Yoga". However, with the teaser of his new song, it appears that not everyone is impressed. While some fans praised him for his talent, others accused him of using the same sound as CDQ's Palazzo featuring DJ Spinall.

CDQ, in his reaction, did not mince words as he called out Asake for the alleged similarity in sound, stating that Asake could do better than that. He opined that the song's sound was reminiscent of his hit track Palazzo.

He wrote, “Sounds like Palazzo, he can do better than this tho.”
