The Nigerian film industry, also known as Nollywood, is no stranger to celebrity feuds, and the latest to make the headlines are Yewande Adekoya Abiodun and Tawa Ajisefinni. The two actresses, who were once close friends, recently took their differences to social media, with Yewande allegedly shading Tawa on her birthday via her WhatsApp status.

As reported by Naijastrap, Tawa was shown Yewande's status by a mutual friend and felt that it was directed at her. In response, Tawa called Yewande out on social media, accusing her of being ungrateful and blocking her on WhatsApp to prevent her from seeing the status.

Yewande, however, had a different story, stating that a certain person named Laja had revealed Tawa's true identity to her, leading to their falling out. Whatever the cause, the public airing of their dirty linen is a reminder of the need for public figures to handle their differences with grace and professionalism.

“Everybody know that today is my birthday but you are shading someone your status.

Because you blocked me, you thought I wouldn’t see your status. I am sure you are now talking to. I know you would deny. You are ungrateful person.

Yewande stated, “Laja was the one who made me know who you are”.
