Pep Guardiola reveals why He Has Never Been Sacked As Manager
Pep Guardiola, the manager of Manchester City, claims that throughout his managerial career, he has never been fired because his teams "win a lot of games."
Guardiola was responding to the 12 Premier League managers who have been fired this year.
Last Sunday, Graham Potter and Brendan Rodgers were the newest to be sacked.
After six months in charge, Potter was fired as Chelsea's manager with the club occupying the 11th spot in the Premier League.
Hours after Rodgers' four-year tenure at Leicester came to an end with the Foxes languishing in the relegation zone, Guardiola made the decision to leave his positions at Barcelona and Bayern Munich. He was fired shortly after.
“I will tell you a secret. We win games. If we don’t win games, I would be sacked. It’s not because my hair is better than the other ones. I’m not sacked because we win a lot of games,” Guardiola told reporters on Friday.
