Former Minister of Power Arrested by EFCC for Alleged N22 Billion Fraud

“He has been living permanently at Transcorp Hilton since early August. His bills were being covered by elements in the power sector who were looking forward to more lucrative contracts before the bad news of his dismissal struck yesterday,” the source said

In September 2021, President Buhari made the decision to relieve Sale Mamman of his ministerial position. While the specific reasons behind the dismissal were not disclosed at the time, recent developments shed light on the extent of corruption allegations that might have influenced the president's decision.

According to insider information, Mamman had been residing at the prestigious Transcorp Hilton in Abuja for over three weeks. Astonishingly, his bills were being covered by influential figures within the power sector who expected to benefit from future lucrative contracts.
