Nigerian Army rewards hard working soldiers with bicycles

The Division 3 of the Nigerian Army (NA) has awarded fifty-eight troops from various units with cash and brand-new bicycles for their good behavior, labor, and devotion to duty.

Lieutenant Colonel Ishaku Takwa, acting deputy director of Army Public Relations, 3 Division, Jos, made this known in a statement on Monday in Plateau state.
Major General Abdulsalam Bagudu delivered the gifts on Monday at the Headquarters 3 Division Auditorium in Jos.


When handing out the incentives, Bagudu explained that the bicycle and unknown amounts of money were a part of his goal to thank employees for their dedication and inspire others to work hard.
He said; “One after the other, 58 soldiers selected from various units of the Nigerian Army (NA) in Jos filed out to collect their prizes from the general officer commanding (GOC) 3 division and commander operation SAFE HAVEN (OPSH), major general Abdulsalam Bagudu Ibrahim at headquarters 3 division auditorium Jos.

Presenting cash gifts and brand new bicycles to the soldiers, General Abdulsalami Bagudu noted the initiative was part of his vision to reward hard work and commitment to duty and also serve as means to motivate other personnel in the cantonment to be more dedicated to their task.


“He revealed that it was not just hard work that earned the recipients the award but a combination of hard results and character. He further maintained that character and attitude speaks volume of human personality.
