"There won't be corruption under my government" ~ President Tinubu reveals

Bola Ahmed Tinubu, the president-elect of Nigeria, has revealed his plan to implement incentives and policies that will discourage corruption among Nigerian workers, including judges. This announcement was made in a statement released by the Office of the President-elect and signed by Abdulaziz Abdulaziz on May 4, 2023.

Tinubu made this disclosure while inaugurating a new Magistrate Courts Complex constructed by the Governor Nyesom Wike administration in Port Harcourt. The event was part of Tinubu’s two-day visit to the state, where he also commissioned other projects executed by the Wike government.

The president-elect emphasized the importance of creating an environment that discourages corrupt practices and promotes accountability. He added that he could not commit to the expenditure of the current administration under President Muhammadu Buhari, as he was yet to assume office.

Tinubu's commitment to combating corruption in Nigeria demonstrates his understanding of the importance of good governance and the role it plays in fostering sustainable development. By creating an enabling environment that incentivizes transparency and accountability, Tinubu hopes to inspire public officials to prioritize the people's interests above personal gain.
